Electronic Notation
Ever since the advent of microcomputers, a revolution happened in the world of music
notation. Softwares were developed with the purpose of reproducing scores electronically.
Among the best, if not the best, was Encore. It set the standard for quality engravement,
maintaining though an intuitive and very easy to use interface. Musicians all over the world
embraced Encore as their precious working tool.
As simple and powerful as it is, though, Encore, like all other music softwares, requires a master
engraver to unleash its full potential. It has all the necessary tools to engrave and reproduce
any score with maximum fidelity. But you need to have, or develop, the skills to do so. If not,
a reproduction might loose its purity, by simply sounding somehow "mechanic".
Perfectly engraved electronic notation, like our Encore Files,
are extremely powerful tools for any musician, from beginner to maestro!

It's very easy to understand why The Perfect Scores are so different from anything you might have found so far, ON the Internet AND OFF the Internet!
A Small Example
The following example, extracted from the Spanish Guitar masterpiece
"Asturias", by Isaac Albéniz, shows the difference between a simple electronic score
and a Perfect Score.
On the staff below, we show measures 25, 26 and 27 of the score, exactly as they are supposed to be
transcribed from the original, and therefore appear on our Encore and PDF files. By playing the
score as it is, though, Encore will reproduce an abrupt mechanical sound at the beginning of each one of
these measures.
This would be the sound of a simple electronic score.

"The Perfect Scores", on the other hand, even though they look exactly like the previous view,
are engraved with additional hidden staves, wherever necessary.
On the system below, the technique is to mute the marked notes (in squares) during reproduction,
and exchange them for the sound of those contained on the hidden staff.
Anyone having some experience with Encore will immediately recognize the precious difference between both
engravements. On this specific example, the sound produced is the exact guitar
drawling effect desired by the composer.
The techniques necessary to emulate proper sounds on our scores are, ultimately, the heart and soul of
"The Perfect Scores".
